Dear Sir,
Regarding the explanatory letter written
by Dr. Schwarz published in the October
15 Gazette, I would like to comment as
follows:
"Congratulations Dr. Schwarz, for stand-
ing up with courage to your convictions!"
To those sinless few who judge some of
the hypocrites attending church - please
give me your recipe for perfection. I
find the more I learn to understand God
the more I love Him. I go to church to
learn more of Him, in order to serve i
better. I have a feeling that is what
the rest of the people attending church
are doing. They admit they don't know
it all either. We are

This school system situation is a shock-

I was always inclined to believe all par

which they themselves were unable or un-

think there are those who would endorse
such a system by which religion being
taught in our schools will be destroyed
or prohibited. Surely, if we love our
children, this benefit will not be den-

strive for Christian education, as do th

It is both disconcerting and depressing
to know there are those in favour of
"spiritual starvation" in our school
system; especially when our young people
are in such great need in these diffic-
ult times of warfare, communism, etc.
Are we not going to give them something
to look up to?
Were we all thankful for the progress
made in the entire universe begause of
the coming and death of Christ, we would

We would like to thank all those ¥no
attended our Turkey Shoot held on Octob-

to win more than one turkey. Mr. Don
Kennedy was top gun, walking off with 3
turkeys. Mr. A. Quintel, Mr. J. Flynn,
Mr. J. Wilson, Mr. C. Bokenfohr and Mr.
T. Batog were all winners of 2 turkeys
each. Other winners were Mr. C. Lader
oute, Mr. H. Bourgeois, Mr. M. Wakefield
Mr. P. Zoopko and Mr. Ed Savoie. Judg-
ing by the results, we can see there are
some real sharp-shooters in town. The
r Knights plan on making this an annual
event.
The same day, October 12th, the Columbut
Club hald a very successful banquet and
dance in the Community Hall. Mr. N.
Ross was in charge of preparations for
this event and must be complimented on
the fine job he did. Several spot
prizes were handed out as well as a
prize for twisting, which was won by
Mr. & Mrs. C. Sadler, who had to beat
out many other fine twisters. Anyone
